Artist Statement
I believe the value of Art should be measured by the profundity of the artists experience in the act of creation and his capacity to paint the inspiration born of those experiences upon the canvas of his Life everyday.
|  "Wonderment" - 2010 - Pen - 32in./40in. This work is the creative culmination of my 2010 Summer. Started in May and finished in November and it's all in there. Truly my most encompassing line-drawing ever  "Wonderment" (close up) - 2010 - Pen - 32in./40in.  "How to catch a waterfall in a thimble" - 2011 - Pen - 14in./17in. Also know as "Straight Line Virtuosity" this drawing is very important to me and represents the aspect of experience that is so damned distilled and stripped of all extraneous unnecessity - those moments of being most overwhelmed by reality  "The Goddess is Still Presiding" - 2009 - Pen - 11in./14in. I completed this work when I was living in Provincetown where the undulating rythms of the moon-tide tugging had me always aware of the ever-present gravity the ancient Goddess archetypes have on my life everyday. Also, books like, "The Moon and the Virgin" by Nor Hall and "The Cities of the Interior" by Anais Nin are the inspiration that this piece is full of. Artist Bio
The internal exploration begins with the free-flowing ink strokes of my pen. As my hand moves my mind wanders, settles down, and sinks into the depths of my essence. Wonderment descends in silky veils of lucidity enlightening me to the boundless mystery of Self. Ink drips from the felted tip of my untethered bewilderment, drip,-drips onto the canvas of my voluminous expansion and impresses upon me the vastness of an interior realm longing to be made familiar. Streams of Subconscious pouring from my body.
Imagination substantiated in the depth-surfacing, knowledge-activated-catharsis of dream-world manifestation.
