Artist Statement
My work deals with the evocation of space, light, and memory through the rendering of an otherworld. When i make each painting I am perceiving and fleshing out distant places, events systems. My process is driven by organically forming geometries and patterns through which I capitalize an obsessive idiosyncratic mark making, structural events and atmospheres. As far as art can be a projection or record of the living psyche- I am working with feelings of alienation, escapism, meditative calm and emotional disturbances like fear of annihilation.
