Artist Statement
I think of my still life paintings as small reflections of complex relationships. Rendered in oil, they are spare statements where the distance between objects may indicate intimacy or detachment. Some participants take precedence, while others are relegated to supporting roles. The softened edges bind the objects to the sparse environment, joining the elongated shadows.
