Artist Bio
I make visual statements, originating from a need for creative discovery. These visual statements are the expression of my soul
the essence of who I am, what I believe in and think about
translated into a visual.

I don't plan my paintings. Each endeavor is an adventure.
I let the color, texture and brush, palette knife, or whatever medium I have chosen, guide my endeavors.

I can tell you what I think about:
The elements of nature, beauty, survival.
I think about the earth, the infinite, as well as
emotional elements like grief, faith, love, joy and loss.

I think about ideas as language
and the meaning of words, concepts and elements
and how they translate into the visual.

I can also tell you what I believe in: Life, and in art
as a restorative commodity, whether for self or society.
That to paint and create is the salvation for loneliness and despair
and the vehicle for sharing our universal experiences.

I believe in having faith that the creative process will guide my art
and my soul if I am willing to allow this process.

I believe that abstract art allows for the expression of all that I think about
and all I believe.

Abstraction combines the essential reality of elements
with all their possibilities.
I look for both the essential and the possibilities.
