Patrick Chamberlain, On Your Mark, Gallery 1
On Your Mark is the largest exhibition to date of Chamberlain’s radiant, evocative abstract paintings. In many of his paintings, organic-looking forms are hemmed in by rigid geomtric planes of color, and thick, bold gestural strokes serve loosely as both directional signposts and visual barriers.

Viewers witnessed the marred surface of a large-scale wooden platform filled with electrical cables, chains, and three circular saws that were subsequently powered on and let loose in the platform. The mangled tools assumed roles of combating forces, leaving the battle scene fresh. Sawdust, severed cords, and other charred materials remain.
